Eureka Tower, a photo from Victoria, Est

Photographer's Note

Ciò che vedete nel bookmark è l'Eureka Tower, un grattacielo di 91 piani situato a Melbourne.
Ad oggi risulta essere il grattacielo più alto di tutto il continente australiano e il 36° nel mondo.

E' stato completato nel 2006 su progetto del architetto Fender Katsalidis.
All' 88º piano dispone di un centro di osservazione.

L' edificio è stato chiamato Eureka Tower in memoria della ribellione chiamata Eureka Stockade per la corsa all'oro Vittoriano, e nel progetto sono stati introdotti: la corona d'oro posta sul tetto in riferimento all'oro, la striscia rossa per simboleggiare il sangue versato per la rivolta e il rivestimento blu e le linee bianche che rappresentano la bandiera di Stockade.

Hello Francesco!

I dont think I would recognise Melbourne any more. So much has changed since I was last there in the 80's. Smart choice of a vertical frame here to emphasise the height. And a wonderful blue sky free of smog! Tfs!

wow....Eureka is right!
funny how there isn't any other building close to its size beside it, it dominates the land and sky.
I also like the hint of reflections along the bottom too.

Bonjour Francesco,
une photo très propre et nette, les lumières sont parfaites dans tous les coins. Un format qui limite presque la photo au sujet principal avec toutefois un brin d'avant plan bien utile.
J'aime le bleu intense du ciel. Des verticalités parfaites.

Exceelnt view on the modern tower, Francesco, with clearity and light enhances it's outlines.
