Photographer's Note

Almost fourteen years after September 11, 2001, construction continues at Ground Zero. After many years of delays, and a budget that skyrocketed from $2 billion to $4 billion, a new transportation hub is close to being finished.

The structure was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, and is supposed to resemble a bird in flight. Here you can see a reflection of the new hub in the windows of the Millennium Hotel, which sits directly across the street from the site.

This massive building will be the third largest transportation hub in NYC. It will connect eleven subway lines, the PATH train to New Jersey, a ferry terminal, and several buildings in the new World Trade Center complex.

In the WS photos you can see two more views of the new World Trade Center Transportation Hub.
