If the Month is may the colour must be Yellow!!

England is awash with this wonderful yellow of the Rapeseed plants.. and when they sun shines they are almost flourescent.

They are beautiful to look at, but dont smell so great and have a strange name for a plant (Otherwise known as Canola oil)

What a beautiful "yellow" sea, you are not going to demonstrate in Bangkok? The yellow shirt would love you for this picture!!! We are fine, but Bangkok and Thailand still is in a state of shock, actually we are as well, because what Thaksin did to the kingdom is not anymore that, what a national does to his home. Arson, and only buildings and businesses of his political and business rivals were burned!!!

Your shot is excellent. The colors, in particular yellow, are vibrant. There possibly is an issue with the sharpness in the BG due to F5.6. Perhaps you should have tried F11 or F14, but then you would had needed a tripod. Oh dear, I would not carry one myself, except we go by car. Otherwise well done.

Although we have no rapeseed, our garden is predominently yellow, too. It must be a May colour!

The photograph is very cheery, with its rich yellow fields and contasted rich red soil. There is a pleasing progression of horizontal layers across the frame.
The light seems to be good, so I would suggest a smaller aperture to get a better sharpness into the distance.

Hello Richard, I liked the layers of colours in this photo but they are a bit saturated for my taste. Those rapeseed fields are photogenic and also important for being a source of alternative energy production.

Beautiful vivid colours, Rick. Maybe even a bit oversaturated. Although the horizon is at the requisite 1/3 below the top, the sky is rather boring. That means 1/3 of the picture is empty. IMO, a small sliver of sky at the top would be more dramatic. Also, you might want to clone out the distracting white paper (or whatever it is) about 1/3 from the left in the lower portion?

Hello Richard, So I found another one of your shots. Looks to me like a misnomer in your title. Better, "Sea of Gold". Ha ha. This is really vivid and colorful, dunno if you added some saturation, but it is well done, and really jumps out at the viewer. I have a similar shot of marigolds in California , meaning I like this type of picture. Great effort, REgards, Roger

Olá Rich, I almost need sunglasses to see this one :) Stunning sea of 'surreal' bright yellow that stands out even more by the strong contrast with the dark green and brown that surrounds it. Impressive and beautiful.
