Photographer's Note

Tipper Gore, Chicago, 2001.

This photograph was taken about six or seven months after Al Gore's devastating defeat in the US Presidential Elections of 2000. The Gores had just come out of their retreat after that disastrous period of American history. Tipper Gore was in Chicago to speak in front a small group of friends and supporters. The mood was somber, understandably, and she was full of grace and magnanimity. Truly a magnificent lady.

Photograph was taken in low resolution using the zoom lens of the Fuji Digital camera, then auto levels post processing. I like the grainy character that came out - it added to the mood.
