Photographer's Note
An infrared shot of a old silo in ruins, which is on a farm outside small town of Princeton, MN. I thought IR fit this setting very well and was pleased with the result. A funny note, as I was taking these pictures, the person who's farm this was on drove past me and stopped to say hi. He said "You're taking a picture of that old pile of crap eh?". I'm thinking to myself "one man's garbage is another man's treasure". I've also posted a color version as a workshop for the beautiful autumn colors (the workshop is only visible when looking at the original). Which do you like more? I've reposted after making some corrections to radial density.

Great image Kirk! Very impressive. I like shadows on the silo. Dark sky and bright grass and trees create very interesting effect. Great work!

Making one man's garbage another's treasure needs talent or original ideas which you have I think. I wouldn't think that i would rate an old silo in ruins. black and white is a good choice. congratulations.

nice pic. I love the b&w when they are well done. This one sure is! good composition also. a lot of people would have put the silo in the middle, and you didn't. well done

Beautiful image, Kirk. This will definitely make me try out some infrared settings rather than going with straight BW in the future. I'd be proud to have this in my home as a framed print!

Very special shot ... good compo and light is kind of weird in specific behind the pile.
Thanks

Kirk this is a nice shot. Is this infrared? Whatever it is, it looks great. I like your composition a lot. It's fun to see photos of Minnesota - I miss the midwest.
