Photographer's Note

Ten days ago I happened to be in Boston and for a few hours in the afternoon I walked around the city. It was very unusual day for the end of July: a very dense fog. Actually, it was cloudy earlier in the day but in the afternoon the clouds came down a lot and engulfed the tops of tall buildings.

I took this shot downtown in a public park, or public garden, as an inscription at the entrance was letting us know: a public garden since 1837. It is a beautiful statue of George Washington, captured from a point of view that makes the foggy sky the background of the photo.

I'm posting it because I consider it my best photo of a sculpture so far... even better than this one posted a while ago. I thought it looks nicer in sepia but I'll upload the original colors in the workshop. Here it is.
