I'm Not a Dog -- or a Kite!, a photo from Massachusetts, Northeast

Photographer's Note

This was taken at South Beach, on the Southeast corner of Martha's Vineyard. The seagull looks as if it's bewildered by the sign "No Dogs or Kites Beyond This Point", but actually it's just being wary of the photographer heading right toward it.

I cropped the image a little, then adjusted the levels, and sharpened and resized the image before uploading. I could have cropped it even more, placing just the sign and the bird in the image, but then I would have lost the surf. What do you think?

Good corner position of the sign. I like the diagonal given by the sand itself and continued in the string. The intersection of these lines gives a natural strongpoint at the feet of the gull. The reflections in the water are a bit strong on my screen.
