This butterfly was photographed at the Bronx Zoo Butterfly Garden.

The Buckeye Butterfly is brown, medium-sized with big eye-spots on the wings; it is often seen resting on bare ground.

Great colours, great capture.
I'm wondering though...isn't this a moth? I thought butterflies landed with their wings together...
I'm sure if you post this on treknature that someone will know.

It´s simply a perfect photo of a butterfly.
You choose a very good POV so we can feel those spectacular colours.
I´m not sure if you increase a bit the saturation, it´s seems to me enough natural.
