Photographer's Note
After the picknick at casspark, Sunday, 3:00 pm.
My official adieu to Summer of 2007. It was fun while it lasted. We spent the weekends hiking in the gorges, sailing in the lakes, strawberry-picking in the farms, picknicking in the parks and doing other things that you have fun doing without a down jacket on. October is upon us. Frogs are gone, fog is in; Fall leaves gently decorating the trails along the falls; sudden wafts of apple cider catches you by surprise while you walk to farmer's market; "Ithaca is gorges" indeed in Fall.
I hear it will be 80 degrees this weekend.

Hi, Prantik. I always wonder when I see views piling up and not a single comment -- good or bad. Well, I guess some people just like to window shop. For some reason, this one has a certain almost slapstick air about it for me. Not sure why. The seated figure seems so erect compared to the lazy couple on the grass. Is he watching the pigeons to avert his gaze from the lovers? The tilt adds to the offbeat humor of the take, though I wonder if it was really necessary, and it's hard not sit and wonder whether it was intentional or a mistake. I just noticed that there seems to be a fourth person -- or something -- almost completely hidden on the bench (?). I don't know. Your shots are famous for their felicitous randomness. I don't think this one is up there with your best, but it's been fun to contemplate it. Happy fall. -Hugh

Prantik, very nice photograph indeed...I like the mood it depicts ... the black t-shirt of the man nicely constrasting with the whites in the pic...i believe the pic was taken during high noon....explains why the highlights are so bright ..almost blinding..something i faced with a pic of mine...

Hola Prantik,
Like this shot. Unique. The shot has a little bit of everything. It only works on B&W.

You have this incredible talent to screw up a good scenario, Prantik...
This scene has content...This scene has the juice flowing thru it, and what did you do...?
Poor presentation (burnt white spots, small format, enormously big white frame around (Yeah...It really adds some art flavor to it. Sure !!!).
It's sad...Because the material was there... Ready for grab. And I mean 'great material' !)
Few minutes spent with PS would create a meaningful photography.
Right now it's just the snap that came from a very inexperienced photographer...

I've tried my best, Prantik.
Try to 'hunt' the scene the very next time (I know...I know...It's not that easy as to say it, but...).
All the beast, pal.
