Photographer's Note
One of the gates to the White House in Washington DC on after one of the major snow storms that dumped record snowfall in the area. Despite the harsh weather, or because of it, locals and tourists alike brave the cold and come to do sightseeing and take a peek into the President's residence.
I just love how the lights from the lantern stand out in the white surrounding.

As you said the lights from the lanterns does make the photo much more interesting. But I would prefer to have a scene of no human-being here. Well done!!

I really enjoyed this urban winter photo!
Almost totally black & white but those yellow lamplights!
Highlights are the vertical format, the pov and the composition!
