Photographer's Note

I took this on New Years Day 1968 in Santee, South Carolina. I was looking for nature photographs but came across this village near a swamp. This captures a view of the American South that probably no longer exists.

I made some prints to give this family of the several shots I took that day. When I returned I discovered one of these gentlemen had died and they were all at the church so I didn't get to give them the pictures.

I shot this with a Bronica "C" [I think]. I used the Nikkor 75mm lens. I scanned this and my thousands of other negatives with a Nikon ED-8000, which allows me to scan both 35mm and 120 size film. I really like my old black and white photos.
