Photographer's Note
This was taken this morning. The sun trying to break through the clouds on an otherwise grey raining day. What caught my eye was the clouds hugging the mountains. They were very thick and touched the water. Not a rare sight at this end of Prince William Sound, but breathaking nonetheless. The small pier is used for barges and similar types of cargo ships.
There is still a small amount of snow remaining on the mountains. When the weather finally clears, (two weeks of rain here) the next few sunny days will melt the remaining snow. The first snow of the new winter, which Alaskans call Termination Dust, will arrive anywhere between mid August and late December.
I tried using NeatImage for the second time. Worried that it had taken away the sharpness of the image.
Still using my Sony P32. I find it affects detail in my shots. Will upgrage this summer.

Hi Mae, I have stared at this picture for a long time, trying to find out how could the cloud hang on there like a big curtain in front of the mountains. It is a wonderful catch. The camera may have affected the sharpness of the pier a little. But, the overall quality is very good. This is a stunning capture of the wonder of the nature. Well done.

Hi Mae
good frame work and beautiful captured landscape. But there seem to have pixel dissolving from your image. Is it due to the low resolution you used or been extensively sharpen ?
Well shot, Mae.

Muy buena foto Mae.
Impresionantes nubes.
Unos colores casi monocromicos, si no fuera por el color azul claro de la caseta sobre el muelle y el tenue color verde de los arboles hubiera dicho que era una foto B&W.
Muy buena composicion.
Well done.

Hi Mae, this does look COLD. I hope your warm weather starts and stays soon for you. Those clouds practically sitting on the water look so interesting. A very interesting scene. Well shown, thank you.
