Photographer's Note
One of the first stopping areas along Valley Drive, the dirt road visitors to Monument Valley can drive unescorted, is for a view of the "3 Sisters" seen here near the horizon on the left. This photo was taken about an hour before my previous posting and there was no hint of the squall and storm to come.
Please open in a new tab for the best view.
The image was rotated (I seem to have a problem holding my camera level), highlights in the sky reduced, and Photoshop's auto-contrast applied.
ISO 100, f/18 @ 1/200th second, 16mm focal length

Hello Mark,
What a nice ground colour, almost fairy tale.
The three sisters are a little bit far but certainly good visible
An excellent composition, pleasant panorama too.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Hi mark,
The beauty of this landscape was impressive, the contrast of colors between the ground and the sky was fantastic, as well as the beauty of the rock formations. Great job, my friend.
Regards,
Lucas

Hello Mark,
This certainly has to be viewed in New Tab to really appreciate the whole, which is stunning!
The strongly detailed foreground is a wonderful lead to actually viewing the Three Sisters!
It's amazing scenery; its colours, textures and shapes are captured with excellent artistry.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Mark
How did I miss this one. Perfect addition to your tour of Arizona. I love the lone plant in the foreground. Brings the parched landscape into focus nicely. Beautiful.
