Photographer's Note

On my way to the Massacre Grounds Trail's dead end (sorry for the pun) and waterfall, I took a slight detour and found this "eye" in the side of a cliff face. In the distance, through the eye, is Weaver's Needle a column of rock rising 1,000 feet from the valley floor behind the front range of the Superstition Mountains. (A visual pun.)

I'm aware it doesn't look as though I've leveled the horizon, but, in the larger view, you'll see the trees are vertical, it's just the landscape that is tilted.

ISO 125, 1/200 second at f/11, 24mm focal length
