Photographer's Note

Salt flats probably in the Death Valley of California as seen 35,000 feet above. I was flying from California back to the midwest and this time, the plane flew above in a northerly course instead of above Arizona and the Grand Canyon (see Earth Below I and II) when going west. The scenery outside was also spectacular. I am only guessing that this is the Death Valley as it could also be the salt flats of Utah.

I was just learning how to take pictures with my new digital camera - the photograph was taken in the low resolution mode (640 x 450) and with the zoom lens. The original picture is very hazy and muddy. Post processing in Photoshop includes autocolor, autocontrast, autolevels and unsharp mask.
