Photographer's Note
There is something addictive about speed, the passage of wind through one's hair, the thunder of hooves, about motion itself.

Dear Animesh...
I do remember so well one of the same series, Storm. Then, the horse was the one quite sharp while the rider was kind of blurred, face disappearing in the background. Here, we have almost the opposite. We can see quite clearly the face of the woman, but not quite the horse's head. In my opinion, this one is less strong then the first one, but there is something that makes it valuable nonetheless: her smile. Her smile is almost palpable. It takes so little space in the photo, so few pixels, but in fact it is so present, so powerful! To tell you the truth, I might have made even stronger in darkening the space just in front of that wonderful smile (see the WS), though I am not too sure about that.
The sense of speed is great here. A panning that has your name written on it. A panning with a gritty feel...

Magnificent photography, Animesh.
Very soul of panning. Very soul of movement. Very soul of composition.
One of those that you can look at for extended period of time and your brains won't stop working...

Nice crop which adds to the impession of speed - grainy in a good way, a splendid shot, great panning. You clearly have more than one arrow in your quiver, Animesh. Very cool,

hello Animesh,
this is a piece of art, very difficult to achieve. Great compo with the woman in the corner. I like the grain and the strong contrast. It is all perfect !!! One for the books of masters for sure !!

Yes, speed it is and a great rendition. The streak lines, the blurry face of the horse and last but not the least, the grainyness of the Tmaz 3200 all work together to creat ethe feel of the awe inspiring speed and determination of the regal creature. As Claire pointed out, the smile on the young dame's face takes this good shot to a much higher level. Love the way her left hand blends into teh horse.

I really like the comparative clarity of the woman in relation to the horse caught at different movement moments - the whole image has such vitality and energy - the force of that mass so dynamically shot is so palpable......I relly like this one Animesh.

Superb Animesh...just full of light and dark...implied elegance and motion. BIG juicy grains bursting out to give this shot a great atmosphere. Why, why would some consider digital after seeing all that film has to offer (of course this is just my opinion, there are plenty taking excellent shots with digi). Suprised by the Tmax, it looks fantastic, nice and contrasty.
Great...if you ever end up in the DC area, bring this negative...we'll make a good print.

Hi Animesh, a cool panning, the compo is also interesting with the horse coming from the edge... Cool that she wears white pants...
