Romance, a photo from California, Ouest

Photographer's Note

I was hiking back up a cliff face after an attempt at re-shooting the wallflower from this past summer (on my TrekNature Featured Photos section), when I happened to glance up just in time to catch a couple walking towards the rocks. Quick framing of the shot with the cliff on the left, rock in foreground and a fast shutter captured the lighting perfectly. The only post-processing that was done? Resizing of the image for Trek Earth. :)

Mmmmh California at its best! Gorgeous subtle colours and a grand landscape. The tiny couple provides a great contrast to the scenary. And yes it oozes of romance. The framing by the cliff on the right works well. Perhaps the pic would have been more balanced had the couple been on the right-hand-side of it. But that's tiny detail.

Very nice capture. I mean the photo would be amazing without the couple, but they add to the overall atmosphere... very nice.

Wonderful image.

The colors .. the water .. all contrasted by those endless rocks .. all the elements of your image make it feel like we can see into the thoughts of your subjects.

Great shot, Feather! All the more impressive that you only had to resize it - your exposure was obviously spot-on, and captured the mood of the early evening perfectly. Bravo!

Very nice blue tones here, strong black rocks and shadows, and the couple almost between gives us the sense of size of the area.

Wonderful scenary in this landscape shot.
I love the atmosphere captured. And technically is good.
Only I miss a wider view.

Hey Feather: Impressive photo. The position of the people's legs to show movement is good, along with their reflections. The subtle orange in the sky and the trail of footprints in the lower right really adds to the image. The Mendocino coast is the greatest. Nicely done.

Very nice framing! You caught the couple in a good spot and also got a bit of the top of the cliff for scale. The subtle colors really captures the mood.
