Photographer's Note

I know this kind of image has been done often and well on the board but I really love the reflections from the nearby apartment complex I discovered while standing on a dock in the bay. Actually I was on a dock in one of the creeks that flow from the Mount Tamalpais watershed that drains into San Francisco Bay. The channel is quite wide as it passes through Greenbrae with fine houses and apartment buildings lining both shores. This particular complex has white railings surrounding the decks overlooking the water. Folks enjoy wonderful views of Mount Tamalpais. I imagine the people living on the top floor have views of the Bay as well.

The water is shallow with the shoreline just outside the right frame, so you can see the brown bottom through the reflections. To my eye the white railings appear in the water like distorted Zebra stripes. But trust me, this is urban California and not the Kalahari Desert... Enjoy.
