Photographer's Note

This picture was also taken from Agate Beach at Patrick's Point State Park. This shot helps explain the beach's name. As unique as the orange pebble appears, this handful of stones was chosen at random. It's an accurate representative of what this beach looks like.

I used Picasa to adjust the focus and take the coloring out of the edges. I also put a slightly warmer tone on the picture. (I'm kinda new to photography and editing, but I've been a fan of TrekEarth for several months.)

My stop at Agate Beach was part of a road trip down the Pacific coast, from Seattle down to San Luis Obispo, up to Yosemite, down to Death Valley and out of Las Vegas. Of all the places we saw, this beach was one of the best places I found to relax and reflect. I'd never been to the West coast before this trip, so getting to sit and appreciate the majesty of the Pacific Ocean was really special.
