Photographer's Note
Merced River and the El Capitan, This to me is like a gate to Yosemite Valley if you take the 140 to Yosemite Valley. This picture was taken with an Infrared filter from Cokin and stitched together with 2 images using autostitch software. I just started out with infrared photography and so far I love it.

Hi Phuoc,
Love the tones you have achieved .. it is like some hyper winter dream .. what was the line I used on Peter (pboehringer) when he did a Yosemite infared .. Like Bierstadt on hallucinogens .. With the stitching it is just wondrous .. into my favorites.
take care,
John

Hello Phuoc,
This is a wonderful place. I can feel the cold due to the B&W. Interesting way to make a wonderful place look scary. Well done.
Regards, Ramy.

Hello Phuoc,
I have just looked at all images of El Capitan here on TE, and I have to say this is my favorite. The composition is spot on, use of BW is great and the feeling of the image is just...mesmerizing. Wonderful work.
