Mill creek, a photo from Colorado, Ouest

Photographer's Note

The Mill creek trail is a little used trail in Rocky Mountain National Park.
It is kind of a trail to nowhere connecting some of the major trail systems of the park. It is a favorite place of mine due to this little bumbling creek and a long thick stand of aspens.

Superb photo!
The composition and POV are great. The slow shutter speed gives a dramatic look to the creek.

Hi John,

Beautiful work. The POV along this creek trail is really nice. I like how the big rock in the front cuts the frame into two pieces, or maybe more in four quadrants. In the leftbottom this nice waterfall, in the right bottom the leaves on the rocks are nice details. Nice trees and moss in the upper left square and the origin of the trail in the upper right quadrant. Well balanced composition. Good exposure, nice effect on the waterfall. Strong colours and good sharpness too.
Just very fine.

Great colors, and the rocks are a bit unusual and make it something of a unique river shot. You have a wonderful contrast of textures with the rocks, trees, and moss. Thanks for sharing.

The forest primeval displayed in this shot. Great shutter speed and the capture of the moss and a bit of fall colors makes for a real winner.
