Photographer's Note

Baby you're much too fast...

This is a fine example of a 1962 Corvette. The car is in beautiful shape...with an exhaust note that will curdle milk, magnitize superman's cape, stop the heart of young boys, and steal the heart of a woman.

This is a great car...

I was busy with my extended family celebrating Feminist Isses & Woman Power Day for my Mother-In-Law. I had remembered. on a whim, to throw my camera in the back of the Suburban before we left home (thanks Dana). The sun had just set behind the mountains in the west and there was a nice early evening glow. I had hoped to take a picture of the evening light on Mt. Timpanogos (the large snow covered mountain to the left of the car) and had just opened up my camera bag when this bad boy came driving in the parking lot. Did I mention the sound of the exhaust? On the technical details I let the lads at Nikon manage everything once I got the exposure close and picked an appropriate f/stop (f/16). I wasn't thinking straight (did I mention the exhaust?) and managed to shoot this in jpeg...I wish that I had flipped the bit to do it in RAW. Anyway...it's a great car. I was glad to be able to be there...

Proof once again that some camera is better than none...
