Florida has been hit by huge swell in the few days after Hurricane Sandy has passed.
Beach erosion has been extensive in many areas.
The picture was taken from what was left of the beach..

Good weather is back but the waves are still big, curling close to the sea shore with a counter wind.

Hello Shir, a very interesting image here. It looks like there are two images into one. The lower part which includes the wave looks like a hurricane indeed or at least like a tsunami but the upper part - the sky - looks like a regular summer day..I don't get it..shouldn't the hurricanes be about dark clouds and everything? Nevertheless a great composition, which reminds us that nature is something that we can't mess with.

Very dynamical photo. It looks more like tsunami, only one wave but powerful. Excellent timing, we can feel the power of Nature. Impressive view. I was on florida when hurricane Rita hit. It was quite an experiences. Warm regards
