Photographer's Note
Not much to say about this one, in fact, I can’t even remember exactly where it was taken…somewhere between Chinatown and Little Italy is my guess??
Anything with a repeated pattern will grab my attention, but this quartet of windows was a cut above most for its curved form, and the planter boxes on each ledge made it all the more attractive…which also gave the composition a much needed boost of color. One other thing that stood out to me is the white brick exterior, the tile-like surface reminds me of the Parisian metro. :)
Well, that’s pretty much it…just a simple observation while meandering around town.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hello Jason,
well spotted and well executed! The row of windows with the same shape and similar details make nice repetition element, but the curve of the building helps to diversify the image. The plants on the window sills add very much needed contrasting color for the grey walls.
Very successful close up! Well done!

Hi Jason,
before I read your note,I wanted to write it reminds me somehow Paris and its architecture:)NY must be like paradise for architecture enthusiasts-it´s like the whole world closed in one place.
Excellently spotted and really well composed and framed scene.
I like also these pots with plants giving so great contrast to the facade.
Happy Hump Day my friend

Hello Jason,
Very well spotted this unique rounded facade with a set of beautiful windows. How wonderful and colourful it would have been to have some more blooming flowers on those window boxes. But the boxes and the plants add nice spots of colour in the frame. Nice photo with natural colors and light. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Jason,
I agree, the rounded effect is very eye-catching, like a tower, especially as you note the decoration around the windows. It is very grandiose for an ordinary house! You cannot help but notice how the building has changed. The lower part is constructed from small red bricks, seeming quite old in style and, then, this completely different, stylish white exterior!
A puzzle that need solving!
When will you be in N.Y. next?
Ha! Ha! That's your next holiday sorted!
Have a great day,
Bev :-)

Hello Jason,
This could be a photo from many countries. I'd guess on Europe, but you have declared US. Between China Town and Little Italy. NY? Chicago? LA? SF? Many options (ha, ha..). We can only guess. Never mind, I like the façade details, the rounded windows and the decoration with geraniums and other green plants. The tight crop is very good, but I'm not quite sure about the part of window, top-right. The photo might be better without it, but nothing is perfect.
Nicely done.Wish you a very nice rest of the week.
Greetings,
Miro

Bonjour Jason,
Cette maison de New York a beaucoup de caractère un peu comme la ville elle-même.Le cadrage est bien fait et on voit bien que les fleurs poussent plus vite du côté ensoleillé. On sent bien la texture de la vieille brique.
Amicalement

Hey Jason - a simple shot, but those are often the best and most revealing... the pattern of windows is nice, and the window boxes add a really needed splash of color to balance the white 'Parisian' tile.
It's actually been quite a while since I've been to NYC, and the last time was before I really took up photography... the sheer density and variation of the city is a gift for photographers, as this shot shows. Just an anonymous building somewhere downtown, and yet it provides detail like this.
Thanks!
Andrew

interesting close composition of those window panels in a minimalistic view. I like the sharpness and depth of the image. The perfect light and nice colour tone made your frame superb. Thanks....

Hi Jason,
A very nice detail of a building in NYC with bursts of pretty colors. Pity the upkeep of what is below the ledge does not match what is above, but it still makes for a good photo. Well seen and rendered!

Hola mi amigo del desertico norte !
A question , did you go in life looking up or just searching original subjects, take care, must be dangerous
To tell the true, first I asociated the cpture with Spain or Portugal because of the flowers, but reading your note I found it quite parisian if not the same, the way that metro station are covered in France
Original capture of details , well done and seen
Ciao, au revoir , hasta pronto
Maria

Hi Jason
hmmm....this building looks kinda familiar..I wonder if I photographed it as well.
There were a few white bricked buildings i noticed in NYC.
its a strange look isn't it, easy to see why it would capture your attention. good thing there's some flower pots to add some color.
thats some pretty art deco style window treatments too, very classy kind of look.
smart crop and cut of the building indeed.
PS
all of that snow we got in 3 days is already melted away, but thats the norm. Everyone panics lol...but the snow is gone in no time...and it happens EVERYTIME!
people just don't learn to relax! it'll pass! take a chill pill! lol
sometimes I think its just about the media, making a bigger deal of it thats necessary to raise attention and raise ratings. Oh well, what can you do!
thanks mate!
cheers
