Photographer's Note
Staying in Lee Vining on Highway 395 as a 'base-camp' for exploring Yosemite's High Country along Tioga Road, we awoke to an overnight snow storm, which was disturbing because enough snow will close the road. Fortunately not enough snow so we made it west over Tioga Pass into Tuolumne Meadows.
This image is of Paiute Native Americans' abandoned cabins between Lee Vining and June Lake next to Highway 395. In the background are snow topped Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains.

An absolutely beautiful image - I especially like the colours - looks like an oil painting.

Hi Ray,
Beautiful place but it looks rather cold and these cabins are a bit sad element.
Thanks for the tip but I guess early September is better than late.

Hello Ray,
Very interesting old cottage with a large mountain background, clouds were covered at the top of the mountain to make it very charming and pleasant. I like its detailing and color.
my warm regards and thanks,

Hi, Ray,
Sometime the old abandoned houses could be very attractive for the photography and some picturesque, although they remember the better days in their life, no doubt. Excellent landscape on the background!
Best wishes,
Serghei

Hello Ray,
I like this place and its atmosphere very much, the abandoned, ruined cottages in the deserted wild scenery have an eerie, mystical charm. Your composition is great, it's got wonderful depth and perspective, textures and colours are well defined, natural and fascinating. The background view is awesome. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,
Ourania

Nice haunted wild landscape you have here. The atmosphere conveys a sense of cold and after a storm just as the cabins are here after their lives. It's very picturesque. My taste might want a little more foreground, especially since it looks so richly textured, to lead into the scene and into the mountains towering above in the background. But it still nicely conveys that "western" feel of the remains of the past.
