Photographer's Note

Wanted to post another photo from Death Valley, this time another scene from the Mesquite Sand Dunes.

There are many sites to see in the National Park, but this place was certainly my favorite.

We went out far into the dunes, most people don't come out this deep. Most people park their cars and just walk around a bit, we wanted to explore more and see how far we could go before heat and exhaustion took over :)

Walking up and down these dunes was extremely difficult, but fun. As for taking photos here, I was really trying to capture the shadows and curves of the sand.

What's really funny is how my girlfriend Tosca and I have such different views on what to photograph.

She was wanting NO footsteps in her photos, I was searching for footsteps. I think the footsteps in black and white give depth and contour, what do you think?

thanks for looking
