The Fair-Haired Dumbbell

The Fair-Haired Dumbbell is the striking office building with shops on the ground floor in the heart of the Burnside Bridgehead district in Portland at the eastern intersection of Burnside Street and the Willamette River. Bridgehead is the centre of some striking new architecture.
The project consists of two six-story towers decked in hand-painted original artwork.
The overall design is of FFA Architecture and Interiors.
The exterior design was created by Los Angeles artist James Jean. Local artists led by Dan Cohen painted the artwork in June 2017.
The project developer said: "It'll be hated as a building, but I'm tired of mocha-coloured, vinyl-windowed boring. I can't change the fact that the streets are grey and the sky is grey. But the buildings "That I can change."
