Photographer's Note

A few weeks ago, I stopped at the Walmart on my way back from work and saw this sign, advertising the availability of COVID-19 vaccines. I recalled how many times I had tried to find a slot for myself before my wife (who gets up much earlier than I do) was able to find that slot for me back in February. About a week later, our local Walmart in New Castle had a similar sign, but now walk-ins were available (workshop photo). I am hoping that these signs are harbingers of life returning back to normal as we knew it before Winter of 2020.

The CDC has come out and said that fully vaccinated people do not have to wear masks but governors of states have not been so keen on the idea. We still have to wear masks when we enter buildings. However, on our return trip from my son's graduation in Lynchburg we stopped at Stonewall Jackson House which had a sign announcing that fully vaccinated visitors did not need to wear masks on the premises. So, there is hope...
