Photographer's Note

This is the final photo of this mini-series of the Pearce Ferry Rapids. I feel it provides a sense of the speed and power of the water flowing at this location.

To provide an idea of the size, that central wave is about 6 to 8 feet in height. Even standing this far away, I was worried about the spray reaching my lens despite the lack of wind at the time.

What you don't receive from this photo is the noise. The roar of the water was so loud it made thinking difficult.
