Photographer's Note
Located between the Navajo Bridge and Lees Ferry, Cathedral Wash left me in a dilemna as to which "city" it belongs. It starts in the northeastern most part of Grand Canyon National Park, but the dividing lines between the Park, the Glen Canyon Recreation Area, and the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument are a bit blurry. They are made all the more so as, instead of following the wash down to the Colorado River, I chose hiking upstream rather than go to the river. As I was starting in the Park and hoped to end in the National Monument, I chose the Park as the city.
This photo was taken early in my hike, my first side canyon as I attempted to find my way to a massive, separated, outcrop of the cliffs. I increased the exposure of the ground and mountain as well as reducing the depth of the shadows. I also increased the contrast in the sky.

Hi Mark,
Great landscape, good presentation with this well seen vertical format, I like the ground warm color, interesting effect with this strong contrast of this play of lishadows and light, tfs.

Hello Mark,
The scenery is just amazing but what impressed most was your use of light and shadows, creating an excellent composition of contrasts!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
