We were camped on the edge of Thousand Island Lake, just a little north of Mammoth, CA. Walking around camp that morning, I came across these plants growing out from the boggy soil, saturated by snowmelt from the surrounding slopes.

hi montri, this is a very nice photo. it's got nice lines and good colour.

i think the trick to these kinds of shots is to find something to make it unique. something that you can include to break the shot up. something like water drops, snow, a bug of some kind ... that would create a contrast that would highlight the wonderful colours that you've caught.

none the less, great shot.
