Photographer's Note
This is another electric tram from the Western Railway Museum (see this posting for more info on the Museum).
Peninsular Railway Car 52 is a wooden, clerestory roof, double truck, double end, interurban passenger car. It was built in 1903 by the American Car Company for the Los Gatos Interurban Railway Company as their number 4. It originally had the name “Granger". The Southern Pacific consolidated the electric lines around the San Jose area into the Peninsular Railway in 1909. At that time the car was renumbered to 52. The car was converted to one-man operation, but the system continued to lose money and passenger service was discontinued in 1934. The electrical and mechanical equipment were stripped from the car and the body was sold and used as a sewing room outside a residence in San Jose until it was acquired by the Museum in June 1969. The car was restored to its 1910 appearance and returned to operating condition in the Museum’s shop.
Techncial: Slightly rotated, cropped, color levels tweeked, and contrast and sharpness increased.

Hi Jackie,
Another interesting shot of interurban equipment. Nice details, especially the clerestory roof. I just wish that the electrical equipment would be completely visible.

Hi again Jackie
We drive past this museum on our way to the Santa Rosa area 5 or 6 times a year but never have stopped. Nice use of the tracks in your theme. Good composition and DOF.

Hello Jackie,
This one instantly reminded me of the trolley from Mr. Roger's Neighborhood!! What a nice memory... :-) Nice POV with the bright red car in front of the trees, and it is also nice to see several of the tracks in the foreground.

Hi Jackie,
I like this shot, very colourful, lovely repetition of the carriage windows and the pov is very good. Shame there wasn't someone sitting at the helm (if there is such a thing on a tram?) The rail tracks coming in from the left is a good addition. Well seen, have a great weekend.
Regards
Stephen
