Photographer's Note

There has always been something about this image that I enjoy, although I am not quite able to put my finger on it. There is no post-processing (except for the image size adjustment) so this is 'as is'.

Just a couple hours east of Mount Rainier National Park and the rain forest of the Pacific Northwest becomes the desert landscape of eastern Washington State. The two are entirely different from each other, and seeing the fauna of the eastern side really brought this fact home with me. On a climbing trip with my boss from the Park I saw a variety of new creatures including rattlesnakes and this little guy, or the Alligator lizard as my boss called him.
