Why did you use a vertical canvas in this shot?
It would have fared well in a horizontal canvas...
Also the skyline is not parallel to the horizontal baseline...

Hi Adam

Welcome to TE community. You have posted no.1 photo and it is an interesting shot of beach, with good light and great color of sky and blue/green sea plus white waves. The FG sandy beach is great in this composition.

I agree ayansadhu's critique that landscape size will be better to give a wide view, although your vertical is really not bad at all.

Then your horizon is titled. I will do a workshop later for you to see how it will look like. Nice work. TFS

Hello Adam,

A good first attempt. I agree with your previous comments. Also, may I add that you should re-categorize Byron Bay as being in New South Wales rather than Queensland, and then it can be grouped and viewed with all the other Byron images on this site?
