Photographer's Note

Another photo from my early morning frosty walk up a gorge in Cocoparra National Park north of Griffith in the SW of New South Wales.
Once again a brightly coloured sandstone cliff, this time with cascading wild flowers. Plants flower in winter in this region because that is when most rain comes.
The tall tree is a callitris, a native conifer. It used to be popular for use as fence posts because no pests would get into the timber.

I won't be active for the next week whilst on a small ship in Alaska with no wifi and no phone reception.

Best in the large view.
