Photographer's Note
This is one of the shots taken on a lovely evening in Sydney with Lisa and Kevin,oh how we miss those summer nights...
Sorry, but for some reason I`ve had to remove the exif data to make the image small enough for TE.

Hello Les,
What a magnificent night time view of Sydney Harbour. Very well composed and expertly exposed. I like very much the juxtaposition between the railing down below and the bridge up above. Light, colours and clarity are all exceptional. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Leslie,
There is so much to like about this photograph; the attractive railings go across one diagonal, whilst the bridge, with its iconic shape and detailed structure, takes an opposing line. Between the two, Sydney poses with its lights and its waterfront, colourful and appealing.
The colours look like a HDR shot but I'm sure you would have mentioned it if that had been the case.
Have a lovely Sunday, from a sunny Trawden,
Bev :-)

Hi Leslie
A splendid compo with the long perspective of the bridge
Perfect exposure and nice blue hour colors
however at the risk of being somewhat a killjoy among the compliments, I think it's a tad over sharpened, making the image look a bit unnatural
A great shot nonetheless
have a nice sunday, best regards

Wow Leslie - This is very special. The POV is obviously spot-on but it is the exposure which really impresses here. All the detail beneath the bridge has been masterfully captured. The shot has great light balance and punchy colour. Impressive work! Have a lovely Sunday Rosemary

Bonjour Leslie
Très spectaculaire cette photo du célèbre pont de Sydney. Le poste traitement est très avantageux et donne l'impression d'une image de jeu vidéo tellement c'est détaillé et coloré.

Dear Les
What a wonderful shot. The rainbow of colours you achieved here really is extraordinary and I love how the silver lights of the Bridge contrast with the cobalt blues and wonderful reflections on the water. The water looks like wet cement. The image has been exposed superbly. I've read the critique about over sharpening. I don't think that has happened, possibly a heavy contrasting, but then this has revealed the marvellous clouds in the sky. Excellent shot and another beautiful memory of that special time we all had together.
Hugs to you and G

Hello Les,
Gorgeous shot! The long exposure is really beautiful; there are so many colors and lights. I love the way you composed the shot, with the Opera House under the frame of the bridge, and with the city in the distance. Very nice! :-)

Hi Leslie,
Nowadays i see lots of photos from Australia, which is both great and sad for me, as you make me dream a dream which cannot come true, the place is too far from here...
Long exposure creates wonders and the two icons of Sydney are crowned with delicate colors. I agree with Patrick about the sharpness issue, but with those LCD screens, i guess anything related to colors, contrast, brightness and sharpness are mostly debatable. Sometimes i do receive some feedbacks related to lack of sharpness for photos which look pin sharp on my screen settings...
Best regards,
Deniz

Hi Leslie,
A feast of colors and shapes to the eyes. It is a multifocal image. The bridge takes the eye to the skyline of Sydney and the banister points to the Opera House. It's just terrific!

Hello Les,
this is a magnificent picture not only for the spectacular sight of the lights and the iconic elements it contains but also due to your composition and light and colour management. The point of view has made the most of the dynamic and imposing bridge which draws our glance to the other side irresistibly. The bridge itself is as fascinating as the distant view; the sharpness on it is amazing. I love the bold warm colours and the brightness you chose for this picture, they are wonderfully contrasted by the darker and deeper tones. Marvellous work, congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
Ourania

Hello Les,
How churlish of me not to have commented upon this one before now because it is a stunning photograph of this iconic structure!
We do, of course, see many pictures of this but, for you, this must bring back some delightful memories of your recent Australian trip as well as your meeting with Lisa and Kevin.
I can't help but think that Lisa and Kevin took you both here but that does not mean that they were in any way influential in how you took this lovely picture or how you processed it once you had taken it.
Of course, your composition is amazingly bold and strong, the lines of the bridge making a strong statement but with the Opera House perfectly placed off to the left. The light is perfect and the reflections on the calm water are divine.
Fabulous light and colours, perfect exposure and exquisite details and sharpness.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

A famous subject, but the very good point of view and composition you finally succeed to got is very pleasant for eye. Even more with the good exposure sharing all the city lights.
