Photographer's Note

In 1966 as a 19 year old (that gives my age away!) I was sent to teach at a 1 teacher school 20 km along a dirt road from the town of Temora. The school (top photo for 1966) was surrounded by sheep and wheat fields. That's the pit toilets in the background.
There were just 13 children aged from 5 to 13 - a photo of all of them is in the workshop.
I was there for just 2 years and 2 years after that they put in a bitumen road and the school closed and the children caughta bus to the town school.
In 2010 I passed that way again and took the second photo (Pentax K20D, 18-250 lens). It was being used to store hay, a distant memory of its original use.

Best in the large view.
