Photographer's Note
The historic "Woodlands". Built by Thomas Lorimer Smith between 1889 and 1891, Woodlands was designed by George Brockwell Gill. Gill also designed "Brynhyfryd" for Lewis Thomas which was built at Blackstone in 1890. After the death of Smith in 1930 the property passed through the hands of various religious and educational bodies. It is now owned and being restored by Jeff Cooper. Photo taken from home by Fuji Finepix S3500 on full zoom and auto. (I must get a tripod one day).

Hi David. You should get a tripod one day :) and ND grad filter. I've just bought Cokin filter pack after probably having missed many opportunities for a great photo.
I this case bigger f number and a tripod would result in better sharpness and DOF. The upper part shows no detail probably because overexposure there (or maybe it was all covered by the mist) so personally I would cut off part of it. I tried some kind of variations with PS and ended with the one I post as a workshop.
The place seems to be worth to see. Maybe some day..
thanks for sharing

Hi David,
Looks to be a stunning place. Nice mood and POV. A tripod is never a bad idea :) TFS

Hi David
Another lovely misty morning shot at which you excel! The position of the house is well balanced by the mountain peak in the LH top corner.
The photo looks like a painting and conjures up images of Chinese mountains and grey mistiness in the Li River valley. Another world away!!
Cheers
Lyndall
