Photographer's Note

Built in classic Spanish Mission style, complete with adobe colour palette, the Fitzroy Gardens Conservatory opened in March 1930. Well worth a visit to see the lovely floral displays, which change five times a year.

Fine and different kind of shot. A mexican looking building floating in a sea of gerren leaves. Really neat composition with the center symmetry and a blue sky on top. The color contrans is a very attractive element here, I think.. Well seen and executed

Hello Stephen,

You can certainly see the Spanish style and, is that the Madonna in the f/g?
The light is lovely on this very well composed, symmetrical scene. I do like how you have used the greenery as a prelude to the building, making the very best of their contrasts in colours and textures.

Hi Stephen,

The vegetation is helping to frame the building. The point of view is showing the details of the Conservatory. I was there during the month of May 1981. The good luminosity is bring out the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

Bonjour Stephen,

Un cadrage classique mais tres efficace. J aime la symetrie et la luminosite. La construction de l image est reflechie avec cette vegetation a l avant plan.

This an excellent view of this conservatory. The green plants in the foreground positions the viewer for the splendid presentation of the conservatory with the statue in the middle of the shot. It looks like every thing is well maintained, and I am sure this was a pleasant place to visit.

Hi Stephen, I walk with you in Melbourne :). This gardens are not far from St. Patrick and I suppose the Cook's cottage was nearby. Excellent composition with the flowers and white sculpture.

With the statue of the virgin white and black small other statue which view the frame with the first green vegetation map and how this architecture dome that extends süper.I am waiting impatiently pictures of Australia s famous vineyards :-)
