Photographer's Note
The Murray River is Australia's biggest, draining much of New South Wales and Victoria before flowing to the sea through South Australia. Much of the flat land along the river and its tributaries is irrigated with plenty of vineyards, orchards, cotton and rice growing. The lower reaches in all three states is popular for boating (but watch out for the snags caused by fallen trees) with plenty of house boats available to hire.
This photo was taken on the edge of Renmark where lots of boats are moored with the late afternoon sun causing the foliage to glow.
