Photographer's Note
Murphy's Haystacks are a group of granite boulders on a hill near Streaky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. Through the gap between these 2 boulders was some land in sunshine in front of the dark clouds.

Hello Ian,
These are very interesting rocks. In fact they look so amazing I had to check Wikipedia to make sure they are naturally shaped and not created by an ancient culture. (Or indeed not an installation by a modern artist.) I like the colours and texture of the stones and the narrow glimpse of green fields under the dark sky.
Regards,
Gert

Bonjour Ian,
Une très bonne idée d'utiliser ces deux structures de pierres pour nous intriguer un petit peu en ce qui concerne l'arrière plan où la lumière passe du très lumineux au très simple en un seul coup d'oeil.
Amicalement

Hello Ian,
An excellent close-up photo of these giant boulders. Their patterns are beautiful and the colours of the photo are really well-saturated, which resulted in a great contrast with the green fields and the dark sky in the background.

Helo Ian ,
It looks like megalithic monuments ! But they are natural ... Very original and effective framing to show us fine details of ed rocks and white lichens , with a glimpse on the countryside in the Bg .

Great textures on the boulders here, Ian. The view through, with that threatening sky, is pretty impressive too. Nice work, thanks for showing it.

Hello Ian,
Amazing granite boulders that wouldn't look out of place in Girraween in SEQ or Bald Rock in northern NSW. Apart from the red colour. The grey green lichens at the top add interest. Tfs!

Hi Ian
we don't see photos like this on TE very often, if ever. in a weird way, it reminds me of barnicals on the exterior of a whale's skin. interesting way to photograph them, i think most people would take a shot from way further back. not you, this is different and more unique, showing the color and textures so well. and the grey brooding skyline in the bg helps too. excellent subject content here. cheers

Hi Ian,
wow this is so beautiful! I love the colors! The red rocks are so impressive and their shape extraordinary as well. Even though the weather does not seem bright, the effect with the dark grey clouds is so attractive, in fact the sky adds one more well saturated color here.
Great composition, excellent work,
M
