Photographer's Note

Australia and South Vietnam once fought together for nearly a decade during the Vietnam War, over 500 Australians did not come home, and over 2 million from the South perished. The RSL veterans are proud of their service in Vietnam, and the Vietnamese Communities around the world will forever honour their sacrifices and achievements in a strange and foreign land.

Nearly 40 years later the friendship and alliance is still remembered fondly and preserved in this life-like monument of the 2 soldiers side by side, looking over Kings Park in Perth.

Lest We Forget.
