On one of the rock platforms at Currarong on the NSW south coast are the remains of the SS Merimbula, a passenger ship that ran onto these rocks in bad weather in 1928. All on board survived but had to walk a long way to a lighthouse for help. Not a great deal of the wreck remains. In the WS is some more of the wreck.
It was raining when I took the photo which means the shoreline on the other side of the bay is barely visible. Fortunately my camera is weather resistant.
