Photographer's Note

These young men performed a coordinated leap into the cold water of Port Philip Bay at Sorrento (much to the delight of a handful of TEers macondo(Andrew) ,kschanna(Kamran), Klaudio (daddo) and myself.

In the 1870s, entrepreneur and parliamentarian George Coppin, dubbed "the Father of Sorrento", realised the holiday potential of Sorrento. He encouraged Melburnians to seek respite from the city's scorching summer in an idyllic seaside setting and Sorrento's popularity blossomed. It is now one of the most popular beach towns on the Mornington Peninsula, south of Melbourne.
