Children at the Momi River in the south of Fiji. While the children are playing fisherman are walking in the river catching fishes by moving a huge net through the water.

Hi Achim,

The sky is beautiful, the sun is beautiful, the reflection of the sky and people is perfect, the silhouettes are perfect, but I do think the composition could be much improved. I have two main critiques here: I think a lower POV would be much more effective in emphasizing the subjects and their reflections. Also, the reflection and silhouettes of the very powerful sky gives the image a surreal, almost divine feel. I think that the island on the horizon seems out of place in the composition and takes away from this feeling, perhaps it could be better if you were instead looking out towards the vastness of the sea. Nonetheless, great job, thanks for sharing!

It look as if they are standing on glass. very nice composition with the silhouettes being a good focal point. Nice colours but the clouds seem a bit overexposed. Nice image Achim.

Hello Achim,
Very nice picture from before 12 years. It is the pretty big piece of the time, and children already surely grown out on adult persons. Very nicely framing seizure under the sun. admirable are shining edges of clouds and splendid reflections afloat. Splendid sky pours on itself in one whole with its own reflection in the water. Splendid shot!

Great shot! The 3 figures stand out incredibly well in this, with the backlighting giving a high contrast to the scene. I like the large amount of space you left around them too, which seems to emphasize how close they are to each other. Well done!

The light is very interesting, but the detail of these three kids posing, a master piece detail.

Usually I'm not very fond of tilted horizons and completely centered people but for some reason all this works extremely well in this photography, Achim. I was looking a long time to the image to find a reason why it doesn't bother me or even makes me think that it is perfect and I couldn't find an explanation. So, it remains the good impression and the feeling that I like it!

Perhaps the only thing that could improve on this already stunning photo is to catch a little bit of light and reflect it back on their bodies to bring them out a tad. Otherwise, incredible shot, incredible scene. I would have loved to be there.
