Somosomo Strait, a photo from Northern, North

This is another scanned old photo.

The Somosomo Strait is in the Sea of Koro, between Vanua Levu and Taveuni, the second and the third biggest islands of the Fiji's archipelago. My point of view is from Taveuni, an island 42km long and 15km wide, with 470 square km in area. This island is known as the Garden Island of Fiji, because of the abundance of its flora. It's highest point is 1.241 meters and its population in 1998 was around 10.000 inhabitants. Underwater, Taveuni is also a Garden Island, so the scuba diving around is one of the best in the world. Beautiful island, great scuba diving, lovely people... what else do we need?

tá sumido, homi! :) Bom saber que está na área...nem que seja de vez enquando...além de ser uma bela composição, a digitalização foi bem feita. Gosto dessas cores vivas e da luz como um todo. Legal ver essas antigas por aqui...ótimo trabalho!

Fiji parece o paraíso... A digitalização realmente está muito boa, como disse o Carlos. Com relação à luz, não diria que estava ideal: um pouco forte. A composição, pelo ponto de vista, nos mostra um pouco do belo mar e da vegetação local, mas, na minha opinião, as árvores, indistintas, tomam muito da cena em detrimento da praia. Talvez se houvesse aproveitado a brecha nos arbustos e o barquinho com uma tomada fechada ou vertical... Acho que, para uma abordagem aérea ser totalmente bem-sucedida, precisava de um pouco mais de altura de modo a se incluir toda a linha da praia. Digo isso em vista de uma foto de cartão-postal, ok?

You have an excellent scanner, your wonderful shot looks like it was taken yesterday. Beautiful view of the Somosomo Strait captured from a very good high POV, great colors and composition. I like the trees creating a good contrast with the beach, sea and blue sky.

Long time no see, hope all is fine with you.
A golden oldie from the days of film. But i have seen film images from you before and they all looked good enough to upload and let us enjoy the goold old days of film. This area looks great with all the foliage, the beach and the clear water. Brings in a summer feeling while winter here is still going on.

vejo que voce alcancou algo o que poucos mortais chegam a ver -o paraiso enquanto vivo. Gostei deste POV quase que aereo, apesar de eu gostaria de ver mais areia e agua e menos arvores. A vista esta um pouco obstruida, mas assim mesmo da pra ver essa maravilha de agua. deve ser um verdadeiro paraiso para snorkel (snorquel?).
Puxa, isso realmente e scanneado? Caramba, a qualidade digital esta extraordinaria.
Quando e que voce vai voltar a esse mundo TE-ista?

This place looks beautiful and seems to be quite peaceful as well. The pov gave a good depth to this marinescape and I quite like the blue dominant color tones matching well with the trees.
