Dart River, Mt Aspiring National Park, a photo from Otago, South Island

Photographer's Note

The Dart River in Mt Aspiring National Park has its origins in the Dart Glacier, hence the milky colour of the river waters. A jetboat journey from the small town of Glenorchy at the northern end of Lake Wakatipu passes by the sites of several scenes used in the 'Lord of the Rings' & also the soon-to-be-released 'Hobbit' is the best way to see the river and the surrounding mountains and countryside, including stands of southern beech trees.

The spot is amazing. the nature displayed seems well preserved.
Your framing is quite good and the outcome seems well balanced.
However, I might suggest some settings especially a touch of brightness.

Excellent composition here, although maybe moving the horizon from the centreline might be a good idea. I like the fact that you've allowed the colours to speak for themselves and not artificially boost them in P'shop as so many seem to want to do these days. At least I don't think you have!
