Capre Reinga is the nothern most point of New Zealand. Cape Maria van Diemen is a Dutch name, rather than all the wondeful Maori names the country offers.

I was a bright day, but wonderful spring light. polariser really brought out the sky and clouds. The entire place the end of the earth feel to it, and the bird seems to be going right there.

I like your composition with the bird, and the rock on firts plan. Nice courbe also of the beach who is attractive for the eyes.

Hi Arnoud, this is good! I have never managed to get a good shot of this view. The seagull is an added bonus too. You have shown NZ so wonderfully in all your photos. This is an excellent composition, thank you

The curve of the bay and the sea colours are just fabulous - excellent POV and the seagull is a real bonus as he adds a great focal point in the foreground.

Another perfect illusion from the top of NZ.
Somehow the complete post looks a bit unsharp - including the letters - maybe it is a problem with my screen only. POV and the inclusion of the escaping gull are great and at the horizon marriage of sky and sea suit very well to lead the eye. Very well done and TFS Thomas

Great capture here with the gull in flight. The colour of the water is stunning. I like how the land curves round and gives depth. The clouds add interest too.
