Photographer's Note

I decided to go with something different today. No blue skies, no beautiful beaches and warm weather. No, this time is the force of nature, that makes us feel so insignificant, so small. This shot was taken early in the morning, about 7am, and a storm was coming through my window. A huge one. This is actually so typical around here. We are close to parallel 30º, and this is the place where usually cold and hot waves get shocked. This causes these storms and the clouds you see are announcing that cold days are coming.

Mama mia! What a sky! Dramatic, with an excellent perspective, thanks to this long curve of clouds. The colors are splendid and the lights of the city add even more magic to the POV. Congratulations,

Hi Mathias, this storm cloud looks really terrifying, The "spiral" around it looks as it wanted to say it won´t be that bad this time.
I love the lightened streets covered in the darkness under the cloud, it seems as the left and right part of the image were taken with a few hours difference.
The only thing that distracts me a bit are the light beams from the streetlights.
Actually the cloud with it´s pink colour reminds me a huge pillow, that tells me I must go to sleep. :-)
