Serro is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Minas Gerais. Its estimated population in 2019 was 20 966 inhabitants.
Located in the central-northeast of Minas Gerais, in the central region of Serra do Espinhaço, Serro is 325 kilometers from Belo Horizonte. It is part of the Caminho dos Diamantes and Estrada Real, a legacy of the mines that attracted the São Paulo and Northeastern pioneers in the 18th century. A municipality surrounded by mountains, hills, rivers and waterfalls, Serro presents itself as a destination for lovers of historical and ecological tourism.
In addition to the natural beauties and mines, Serro has a rich historical and cultural heritage and produces the famous Queijo do Serro, one of the best known varieties of Minas Gerais cheese, and its recipe has even become an intangible cultural heritage of the state of Minas Gerais in 2002 .

Faz parte do Caminho dos Diamantes e da Estrada Real, uma herança das minas que atraíram os bandeirantes paulistas e nordestinos no século XVIII. Município rodeado por serras, morros, rios e cachoeiras, o Serro se apresenta como destino para os apreciadores do turismo histórico e ecológico.
Além das belezas naturais e das minas, o Serro possui um rico patrimônio histórico-cultural e produz o famoso Queijo do Serro, uma das mais conhecidas variedades do queijo mineiro, tendo inclusive sua receita se tornado patrimônio cultural imaterial do estado de Minas Gerais em 2002.

Hello Ricardo,
The two long lines of elegant low buildings and the tiles in the street give this photo very nice depth. I like how the street disappears behind the curve. The light and colours of early morning are beautiful, especially the pink cloud. The photo is perfectly exposed and nicely balanced.

Managed a good sense of depth in the empty old paved street. the houses have same style, differ with the colors painted on the wooden windows.
Also wonderful sky above, superbly contributing to the scene.

I find it remarkable that the streets in these towns are very wide. I had expected that in the colonial period streets would be narrower because of the non-existent motorized traffic.
Wonderful that you took your photos very early in the morning so that you had all the beauty to yourself.

Quite surprising row of buildings with numerous doors and no windows towards the street. Are these for small street side businesses? Of course they would all be open in day time. Light of early morning is charming and colourful thin clouds look really nice.
